Chanticleer

Frills, Flounces and Oodles and Oodles of Frothy, Foaming, Frilly Tulle!

This year marks a major milestone for Chanticleer with 2010 being their 21st birthday. The collection continues to go from strength to strength with inspiration drawn again from the arts and in particular classic dance.

From Degas to Fonteyn tulle has inspired art and dance, and although always a fabric favourite it has largely been confined to the dressing up box for the rest of us. But now no longer exclusively for the Prima Ballerinas, Munchkins, Cherubs and little Princesses, the foaming layers can bring soft subtle drama to your theatre of dreams.

Chanticleers Ballet collections bring together tulle, satin, silk and organza with beautiful beaded lace and delicate appliqué trims. The soft, slender silhouettes hint at subtle drama whilst dreamy dusky pinks take the look from vintage feminine to girly grace. Clever pleating and ruching of silk continues throughout this collection keeping romance as a major theme. The gowns continue to be classic, Elizabeth Bennet and Jackie Kennedy would be comfortable with the styling.

Chanticleer has come of age, why don’t you come and join the party.
